Shebna

King Hezekiah's under-secretary of state (2 Kgs. 18:18), who was sent to obtain the advice of Isaiah at the time of the Assyrians' campaign. It seems that he had previously held the higher office of steward and that Isaiah had urged his replacement by Eliakim (Isa. 22:20).
